Once, there lived a boy who hated studies. His parents tried to change him, but in vain. He never listened to anyone. He was a very mischievous and naughty boy. He always hurt everyone by calling them names, teasing them and by blaming everyone else for his mistake. 

One day, his mother sent him to a competition which was held in his school. It was about reading a book in one hour. He cheated by taking a comic book. 

His parents always grieved to have such a son. He never wanted to go to school. Every time, he used to do some mischief to get out of that school. 

After all this, he didn't get admission in any school. He was very happy about that. After searching a lot of schools, he got admission in a matriculation school. He got poor marks there too. After that he did some mischief and was sent out of that school, too. 

Now, his parents had no choice but to send him to the hostel. He was very sad because he was all alone there and he cried every day. He regretted for what he had done. After this, he never did such things. He studied very well and his parents were so happy with him. 

Moral of the story-  Study hard to succeed in life.

Merry go Box

We had Merry Go Box to mark the beginning of the year.

What was that?

We asked all children to write down the moments that made them happy. Any moment, any experience where they felt happy. They had to keep all the chits in a box which they would call Merry Go Box. They were told to give us their box after a month. 

The idea behind Merry Go Box was to help children realise how love makes them happier than anything else. We wanted to talk about the importance of healthy relationships and healthy self-image in scoring high on Happiness Quotient!We wanted our angels to feel their adoration for their parents, grandparents, siblings and other near & dear ones. This would help them deeply appreciate their loved ones and appreciate their own self, and not depend on materialism for happiness and gratification. We couldn’t think of a better date than 14^th February for the Merry Go Box session. It’s a day to express and feel love. So we had a fantastic time with their happy chits, happy flags and happy hearts!

In the world, there are two types of humans: Wizards and Muggles. Wizards are powerful magicians and Muggles are simply non-magical people.

Who is Harry Potter?

Harry Potter is an extraordinary boy born to wizards, Lili Potter & James Potter. His parents were killed by the greatest Dark wizard of the century, Lord Voldemort when Harry was a baby. Voldemort used the Death Curse- Avada Kedavra-on baby Harry too, but it backfired. Voldemort became half-dead but Harry just got a lightning-shaped scar. After the death of his parents. Harry had to live with the Dursleys - his Muggle aunt, uncle and cousin. They were definitely not nice to him. His uncle despised him as he knew that his parents were wizards. He kept Harry under absolute dominance and control.

So how did Harry get in touch with magic?

On his 11^th birthday, a man named Hagrid came to his house and took him to Wizard London (Diagon Alley) to buy a wand, an owl, Wizard books & robes for him. He wanted to take Harry to Hogwarts.

What is Hogwarts?

Hogwarts is the greatest school of magic. It has 4 houses each named after the 4 founders of the school. Salazar Slytherin , Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff & Rowena Ravenclaw 

What happened at Hogwarts?

He was put in Gryffindor. His best friends- Ronald Weasley & Hermoine Granger were also in Gryffindor. He had a godfather named Sirius Black and an owl named Hedwig. Harry battled Voldemort and one of Voldemort’s Death Eaters in all of his years. He was the Seeker of the Gryffindor Quidditch team since his first year at Hogwarts.

What is Quidditch?

Quidditch is a magical game in which you have to fly on brooms. In it there are 4 balls- The Quaffle, two Bludgers & the Golden Snitch. A Quidditch team consists of 7 players- 3 Chasers to shoot the Quaffle into the goalposts which the Keeper of the other team defends. 2 Beaters to hit the other players with the Bludgers & a Seeker to catch the Snitch which ends the game.
