Molly gets lost in a forest- by Sathvik Shashi

One day, Molly was roaming around. She went out of the city while walking. She realized she was lost in a forest. She saw a snake and ran away from there. She was very scared. It was getting dark. Molly wanted to go home, but she did not know the way. She saw a monkey. The monkey was intelligent. She asked the monkey for help. He told Molly that there was a magical tree somewhere and she must find it. The magical tree had a map that she could use to reach home. She immediately left to find the tree. After walking around for a few hours, she saw the magical tree. She asked the tree for the map. Then the tree gave the map to Molly. She followed the map and reached the city. She was very happy and relieved.

Poseidon meets Karen- by Aarav Maharjan

Poseidon crashed into this city that he had never seen before. Everyone in the city was perplexed and so was Poseidon as he had never seen these puny people before. He picked up one of the civilians and asked him elegantly, “Where is my trident?” The civilian was scared to the point that he was in tears, but Poseidon was just confused about how these people were so tiny and why a few people in weird white uniforms were pointing this small metallic thing in their palms, at him. Poseidon was scratching his head with confusion why all these civilians were acting so strange. Poseidon heard yelling coming from a distance, so he jumped over everyone and saw this lady with short blonde hair. She started yelling that he almost killed her with his trident, but everyone was confused as it had landed 3 meters away from her. As she realized it was not close to her, she went closer to the trident and lay down on the floor crying and telling the cops that this man had almost killed her. Poseidon got a bit scared, so he grabbed his trident and flew away, but the woman was not accepting this, so she yelled, “Where is the manager?”

How Shiva and Zeus became BFFs: By Advay

There was this one day when Zeus looked down from the sky and thought he had to take a vacation to India. At about the same time, Lord Shiva (who lived in India himself) thought about going to Bangalore, a city in the south. They went there at the same time too, Zeus went by growing in size and walking there (Greek gods tend to do that) and Lord Shiva went by airplane. Zeus reached earlier than Shiva. He loved India! So many cars, buses, and buildings! The only thing that surprised him was that there were no temples! They must not have gods, He thought.

Zeus booked a hotel and went there. After three hours, in which Zeus managed to eat breakfast (a delicious cheese dosa) and lunch (roti, a type of flatbread made of wheat, and paneer ki sabzi, which is made of cottage cheese, and tomato gravy), Shiva arrived. By chance, he too booked the same hotel and ate dinner as usual. The following day, they met in the breakfast hall but didn’t recognize each other. Shiva and Zeus started talking and soon became fast friends. Soon they were going to the same places as each other and enjoying the sites.

Then one day Zeus thought, This place is beautiful! I must move here. So, after explaining the situation to Shiva, Zeus went back to his palace on Mount Olympus in Greece. There he packed his stuff and left for India. Once he reached there, Zeus found a nice, quiet place and built a house. Soon after, when he just finished installing a coffee table, Shiva came to visit. They talked for a while, and then they left to see a newly installed statue in the city’s center. Then Shiva had to go and Zeus went back home.

A few months later, Zeus decided to be a history teacher. When he went to the school, he saw a familiar face teaching the older kids, but he couldn’t figure out who it was. During the lunch break, he managed to recognize the face. It was Shiva! They talked for a while and were happy about the chance reunion.

Lord Vishnu teaches geometry- By Shaantam

One day, Yuga went to school. He was given a task on geometry.

He didn’t understand it. He went home with that homework. He tried to do that difficult geometry homework again. So, he started praying to Lord Vishnu. He asked Lord Vishnu to come to earth and help him with his geometry. Then Lord Vishnu appeared there. Yuga was happy to see him. Lord Vishnu promised him that he’d teach him geometry properly. He checked Yuga's book and helped Yuga with the answers. Yuga understood all the concepts. The next day, Lord Vishnu went to his school. He was visible only to Yuga, but not to anyone else in school. He saw Yuga writing the answers confidently. Lord Vishnu went back to his place happily. The next day Yuga scored the highest on his test.

A vintage car in 3022: by Aarav Maharjan

Klay was driving around his neighborhood at 2 a.m. because he was bored and could not sleep. His engine suddenly stopped. He turned off the car and opened the trunk of the car to see what happened. When he stepped out, there was a huge gust of wind. The wind swept Klay and his car. The wind was so strong that Klay passed out. When Klay woke up, he saw things that were not in his room or were not invented. In a panic, he got out of bed and checked his phone. It was written September 20th 3022. Klay ran down, sat in his car, and started driving. He did not know what was happening. A robocop pulled him over.  People were crowding around Klay because for them, his car was vintage and elegant. The robocop called in a normal human police officer. When the police officer showed up, the police officer could only adore his car. Klay loved that people were surrounding him. Later that day, the news channels were all about Klay’s car as the most valuable and most expensive car in the world that was worth $100,000,000,00. Knowing that he would have a lot of money if he sold his car, he wanted to stay back in this world.

Shiva's lost snake- by Anjali

Lord Shiva was sleeping with his snake on his bed at night. When he woke up to find that his snake was missing, he kept a meeting with all the other gods to find his lost snake. No god had seen Lord Shiva’s snake. He thought that his lost snake would be on earth. So Lord Shiva dressed like a modern man. He put makeup on his blue skin for disguise. Then he jumped to earth. Lord Shiva went to the Whitehouse in the USA to meet John Dalton, the president of the USA. When John Dalton saw Shiva, he was shocked, “Who are you?” Lord Shiva introduced himself. John Dalton wondered what Lord Shiva wanted. Lord Shiva read his mind and told him to just help him find his snake. John Dalton had heard in the news that there was a snake in Denmark. Lord Shiva agreed to go to Denmark. Lord Shiva and John Dalton flew to Denmark. They searched everywhere. Lord Shiva felt exhausted. At last, John Dalton saw something shining behind the bushes. A snake jumped out of the bushes. John Dalton realized that it was Lord Shiva’s snake. Lord Shiva was ecstatic. He thanked John Dalton for finding his snake.

Who murdered me? A thriller story by Ananya Ray

Money is the root of all evil. This is my favourite saying. My story just proves this. ‘Morning Felicity De La!’ I thought to myself when I just awoke this morning. I got up, brushed my teeth, bathed, then put on a dash of makeup. While I was bathing, I realized I had a bullet inside my skin. I quickly wore my clothes and drove to my doctor. He confirmed that it was indeed a bullet and that I should have been dead. I was shocked! Who would want to kill a dress designer who was nobody special..yet? The doctor and I decided to do a medical investigation to see if any of my organs were affected by the impact of the bullet. My doctor later came out saying that I had no pulse, no heartbeat, nothing. I was dead, yet I could walk, talk, sleep, eat, and other people could see me. I quickly rushed home after thanking my doctor. I decided to create a dress inspired by death. With long black chiffon sleeves, a V-neck, and pitch-black cloth, it represented death, at her worst.

Just then a knife whooshed past me, hitting the mannequin beside me. I quickly hid behind my cupboard and waited till the coast was clear. The mystery assassin, dressed in black, came inside my room. The assassin pushed the cupboard pressing me to the wall. I was crushed. Then the assassin picked up the knife and stabbed me with it in the heart. I thought I was gone, but then I realized I was already dead. Ignoring my pain, I snatched the assassin's knife and stabbed the assassin with it. The assassin, realizing defeat, retreated. I sat on the floor hugging my knees, shocked, ‘Did I just harm a person? Will the police come to arrest me? Why does someone want to kill me?’ After these thoughts buzzed through my head, I decided to clean my wounds. It had been an hour and I guessed my wounds would have clotted by now. But… lo, my wounds were gone, leaving no scar behind! I came to the conclusion that I could be harmed but not killed.

I resolved to clear my mind and take this matter of finding my killer into my own hands. I cast a quick glance around my room looking for clues. I found a white paper with a green lip stain and a white cross on it. It was not mine. Heck, I didn’t own any lipstick, much less a green one. I rushed out of my room and went to maisonette De La where Jacqueline De La, my twin sister, who was my closest friend, and a Gendarmerie activist (a military force active within civilians) currently resides. Once I arrived there, she made me a glass of mint mojito, which I absolutely adored. I recounted my story to her, making her fall off her chair, literally. I also asked her for some help in tracking my killer by showing her the paper. After searching for a really short time on her police computer in her bureau, she found the gang the assassin belonged to. It was the gang de tueurs.

I nearly fainted hearing their name. Gang de Tueurs was the ultimate assassin gang, but they were demolished by the Le Paris Government. After searching for a few more minutes, she said there was another group claiming to be the Gang de Tuers living in an abandoned building. I decided to go prepared. I brought out my sling and created a few papier-mâché balls to bonk the Tuers in the head. En route to the building, I had a suspicion that it was my riche enemy designer/stinky spoiled brat, Adèle Du Poudré who was trying to kill me. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a bomb dropped on me. I thought I was gone, but then I realized I couldn’t die. I quickly ran away from the bomb, ignoring my injuries. They soon healed up after a few minutes. I had now officially found the suspect. I decided to switch my destination and instead have a little rendezvous with her father. I messaged her father who just happened to be my uncle.

Oncle Raphaël, how have you been?” I asked. “I have been in good health, dear niece,” he replied. Then I went straight to business and told him everything except the fact that I could not die. After I finished, he decided to take a look to see if the culprit was Adèle. After thanking him for taking these drastic measures, I decided to meet Adèle and ask why she did all this. Just when I was about to, I saw Oncle Raphaël talking to a man dressed in black. The man looked like the assassin. To listen to what they were talking about, I went towards them and started recording them for evidence as it looked like shady business. “Why is that stupid girl still alive? I told you to drop a bomb on her,” he asked the assassin. “She somehow managed to survive. Don’t worry, master. I will kill her sooner or later,” replied the assassin. “Well, do it quickly. She is suspicious and bold enough to investigate,” he ordered angrily. The assassin jumped to obey.

“Once that girl is dead, my Adèle will win over the fashion industry and we will be the richest people on the Earth. Adèle has been losing too many times because of that girl. Like father, like daughter. Her dad used to win all the time,” he muttered. I took this evidence to the police and they put Oncle Raphaël in jail along with the assassin who in fact was an original member of the gang du tueur. Adèle disappeared once she found out that her father was caught. Was she part of the plot? That I may never know. After all this drama, I went back to creating wonderful dresses and my ability remained a secret. I made sure that high-quality dresses meant Felicity De La from my brand Chic De La. This is my story with a pretty good ending because I always remembered, Money is the root of all evil.

Who murdered me? A thriller story by Pranav Mekaraj

I was a twenty-four-year- old adult, and I had just received my two-year salary. I came home feeling jolly. Suddenly, as I took out the money from my pocket, I saw a pair of eyes at the window. I quickly kept the money in my cupboard and went to investigate. As I closed the cupboard door, I looked back just to be smashed on my head with a lampshade by a person I vaguely recognized. I was instantly killed. After a while, I woke up and flew out of my dead remains. There was no sign of my killer. Right then and there, I vowed to myself that I would not rest till I found my killer and had him executed. The next morning, I was wandering around the street right in front of many people. It seemed as though they couldn’t see me. Suddenly, a little boy who couldn’t be older than ten pointed me out. “What is that?!” he screeched, in a petrified voice. For the first time since I died, I looked at myself. I was a monster!

I quickly ran and hid behind the nearest dumpster. By then, the little child had overcome his fright and walked over toward the ghost. He stood beside me, with his jaw falling out in awe. “Are you a ghost?...” he was quivering with fear. “Yes,” I replied while trying to avoid his gaze. Then suddenly, it hit me. If he was the only one who could see me, maybe he could help me on my quest. “I am trying to find out who murdered me. Can you help me on my adventure?” I desperately inquired, “You are the only one who can see and help me.” “Okay, but first we need to get back to my house in case someone hears me talking to you.” As we headed back, he explained that he would tell the police that his friend had been murdered. He would show them the house, and they would try to find the murderer. I would have to tell him all the details about the person I saw before I died. My only job would be to sit and wait.

“He was a short fat male, with a mask around his nose. He had greenish-blue eyes and killed me using the Lighto company lampshade. He walked with a slight limp on the right foot,” I described to the boy. “What was your name?” he inquired. “My name was Madan. What’s yours?” I was curious too. “I’m Mehul,” he answered. I found myself a nice and quiet spot in the corner of a park to sit and wait. Meanwhile, Mehul was telling his parents that he would be out for a while and would be back by nightfall. His parents gave him a little bit of money for food, and he set off on his escapade. The police station was fourteen blocks away and was a fifteen-minute walk. After reaching, he explained the case to the nearest officer. “Where are your parents?” the officer questioned. “They have gone to Scotland for a month while my grandmother is sick,” he lied. He explained the case to the officer, and they set off toward my house.

Once they reached, I decided to take the chance and spy on them through the window. “Drops of blood on the ground!” the officer exclaimed while Mehul was cowering in fear at the sight. They led towards the door of my neighbour. Then I thought, “Didn’t my neighbour Prajwal have green-ish blue eyes?” I beckoned Mehul to come towards me. I told him to tell the officer about it. Suddenly, the officer bellowed something about a piece of a knife outside Prajwal’s house. Mehul and I immediately rushed to the spot. Slowly, the officer forced the door open. There he was! My murderer lying on the couch, fast asleep still wearing that mask with the other piece of the knife on the side table. The officer woke him up and instantly handcuffed him. Strangely though, Prajwal seemed to be able to see me as he was looking in my direction with wide eyes. The officer pushed him into the police car, I snuck in, and we drove back.

Once we reached, Prajwal was taken to the interrogation chamber. The officer kept hitting him with a whip while asking him questions. As soon as Prajwal stopped answering, he was hit like a prisoner until he continued. After the extraction of information, the officer explained to Mehul that Prajwal had just lost his job and couldn’t pay off the mortgage of his house, so he tried to get the money by robbing people. It was decided that for committing this crime he would be executed the following day. Just then, I remembered to ask Mehul to ask the officer where Prajwal had kept my money. The officer said that it was on the 3rd shelf of a cupboard which was beside the TV. Later in the day, we went to Prajwal’s house and retrieved the money. I gifted the stack of one hundred dollar bills to Mehul for helping me find my murderer.

The following day, Mehul and I came to watch the execution. Prajwal screamed, thrashed, and begged for mercy while the police dragged him to the noose. I closed my eyes as I did not wish to see the execution. We went to the officer immediately after it was done to thank him for his help and support in finding my murderer. Mehul gave him two hundred dollars from his stash and we left. I watched Mehul over the months spend his money on various items which he kept in a secret stash in his room which his parents did not know about. These items consisted of notebooks, headlamps, and many other tools that most detectives used. He even went to a detective school. Mehul died forty-two years ago, and I still miss him. To this day, I still wander aimlessly about the same house where I was murdered.

First time rude- by Shaantam J

Tom lived with his mother. He was a very happy child. He used to always listen to his mother. He was very obedient. He was never rude to her. One day, he was playing outside. His mom called him inside and he said, “5 minutes!” Because he had already played in the morning, Antono told Tom to immediately come inside. Then he rudely said, “No!”  She was surprised that he had become so rude. She felt very bad.

Antono asked Tom what was upsetting him. Then Tom told Antono how he was bullied. Easten teased him at school and he started to cry. Tom returned home in a bad mood. Antono was really upset to hear this. She hugged Tom and said, “You are a brave boy.”

Antono went to school to complain to the teachers. She saw Easten playing there. So she went to him and she asked why he had teased Tom. Easten said that he was sorry about it. From now onwards, he wouldn’t bully Tom. Antono was very happy to hear this. She went home and told Tom everything. Tom was happy and apologized to Antono for his rudeness.

Sun's revenge: By Khushi K

Sun’s revenge

On one summer day, Rahul was playing around in the garden of his house with some tea set waiting for his sister, Tanya. Tanya was in 9th grade and she was always busy studying but still gave some time to spend with her brother and to play with him for a while in a day. That day, she had been in school since early morning.  Rahul was missing her r so much that he started crying, so his grandmother called him to tell him a story to console him. The story was all about a village and the sun.

Before starting the story, she told him that it was the revenge that the sun took on the village. Rahul became curious about the story and asked his grandmother to start the story without wasting any time. So, his grandmother started. In the story were a few villagers and the sun as the main characters. There were 5 people named Manoj, Nagaraj, Mahi, Lakshmi, and Vripina. They were all farmers and they used to grow, plot, harvest, etc as their job, but they never got tired of it in their life till now. They had a belief that the sun looked after them and wanted them to plow and harvest like good farmers. They also knew that the sun was capable of getting angry at them and they never did anything to annoy the sun. Once a big vehicle came towards their farmland. All five of them stared at the vehicle. The vehicle stopped at the doorstep of the house. There was a man who got down from it. He wore a clean suit, shoes, and sunglasses. He looked like a cool gentleman. He was holding some papers while he got down. After he came to them, he asked “Who is Manoj here?” Manoj went forward and asked him about the papers he had in his hands. After hearing the question from Manoj, the man explained that he had come here to purchase their lands for building some factories and industries and he would give them 50 crores rupees for it. All the five people were so happy about the offer that they accepted it. But later on, after these five people signed the paper the gentleman disappeared without saying a single word about the agreement. So they all got to know that it was a trap for them to give him the land, but it was too late for them to realize it because they had already given him everything and didn't have a home to stay in. They tried stepping on their lands only to get severely burnt by the heat. They started to live on streets and roads. After a few days, the sun started to get hotter and hotter, but no one knew the cause of it. So it was hard for all five of them to live on roads and streets. But then before they went to others' houses for shelter, others also had lost all their property too and now they had no place to live. And they all got to know that it was the sun who took revenge on them because before that guy had come to the village they were happy and leading a happy life through harvesting and now they couldn’t do even that. So they realized to follow their traditions and beliefs always. They worshipped the sun for 2 days. Sun told them that the man in the suit was him and he was testing their greed. The villagers apologized for their mistake. The sun forgave them. Then later there was heavy rain where everyone was so happy.

As soon as his grandmother finished the story, Tanya ran from the gate to him. They were happy to see each other. Tanya had completed all her homework at school and now she had time to spend with Rahul.  So they both played till their mother called them inside for dinner.

Shaun learnt to be careful- By Shaantam J

Shaun lived in Scotland with his parents. His mother, Tina, was a homemaker. She used to look after the house. His father, Jerry, worked for a Swedish company. Shaun was seven years old and studied in grade1 in a nearby school.

One day, when he came from school, he asked his mother if he could watch a show on the phone. She agreed. Shaun took the phone from the mother carelessly. The phone slipped from his hands. The glass of the phone broke. It scattered all around the floor. Tina got super angry. She started scolding Shaun. She yelled, “You broke my phone! It’s not working. How will I talk to anyone now?” Shaun started crying. He kept thinking, “How did this happen?”

Tina stopped scolding him when Shaun started crying loudly. She calmed him down, “Never do like this again.” Shaun sniffed, “I am sorry, mom. I’ll be careful now onwards.” Tina had to buy a new phone soon, and Shaun was always very careful with it.

The Dark Forest: By Vaibhav

Mack Needle and Tom Hills were classmates at Bloom’s Academy. While watching a haunted show on television, Mack got inspired and told his friend Tom about visiting scary places. Tom was initially hesitant, but Mack convinced him saying they could become popular in their town. They started to search for possible scary places to visit and found a forest close to the Crimson Hills. Many news articles read that people who had visited that forest hadn’t come back.

Mack and Tom were both excited and nervous about the trip. They had not informed their parents and wanted to venture out on this trip by themselves. They packed the essential items such as water, snacks, torches, cameras, and helmets.

The next morning, they began traveling to the forest by bike. Mack decided to call it ‘The Dark Forest’. On reaching The Dark Forest, Mack started the video recording. Both of them were exploring the forest when they heard strange noises. Tom quickly looked around but saw nothing. They continued walking and saw a bridge that appeared very old.

Firstly, they tested the bridge by throwing some rocks. It broke one of the planks on the bridge. Since the bridge broke, they were forced to walk across the water stream. After a few minutes, they heard a deafening sound. Both of them were shocked to see that the bridge had disappeared. Mack immediately checked the video recording of them crossing the bridge, but the file had become corrupted. Tom got tensed and started scolding Mack as things were getting super weird!

Mack managed to convince Tom again, and they continued walking until they reached a village. They saw many humanoid-looking creatures walking around the village. Within a few minutes, one of the humanoid creatures started chasing them. They started to run towards their bike. Mack and Tom managed to get onto their bikes and sped away at lightning speed.

After reaching home, Mack learned from the news channel that many strange humanoid-looking creatures had been found near the Crimson Hills. Mack considered himself lucky to have escaped those strange creatures. He was extremely tired and went to bed. When he woke up the next morning, his mother was scolding him for watching stupid horror shows in the night. Mack realized that whatever he had experienced was a dream!!!

The indolent boy: by Aditya S

The indolent boy

There was once an indolent boy named Jack. Jack’s somniloquism always worried his parents. Jack was in middle school and was 14 years old. He lived in the USA. He had no friends in his school or near his house. Jack was indolent because he always got bullied by two teenagers in his school, Kris and Charles. This was a quotidian thing, and Jack wouldn't do anything to stop them. It would be a cold day in July when Kris and Charles would stop bullying him. One morning, Jack was walking to his school. When Jack reached school, he saw Kris and Charles waiting for him at the front gate. Kris and Charles walked up to Jack and started to act nice. Jack was confused, but then suddenly, Kris kicked him and Charles pushed him. Everyone in the school started to take pictures, make videos, and laugh at him. The bullies started laughing and went to their first class. Although Kris and Charles were bullies, they were very dumb. Jack was the smartest in his class. Jack’s first class was science. Kris and Charles were talking to each other, so the teacher picked them up, but then they started to mumble, and everyone started to laugh at them. Jack was sleeping in the class right behind Kris and Charles. The teacher asked Jack, ”What does velocity mean?” Jack simply answered the question, “How fast the speed is going in a particular direction.” The teacher was impressed to hear a kid say the correct answer even though the boy was asleep. Kris and Charles felt jealous, so they showed fists to Jack which meant that they were gonna beat him up at lunch. Kris came up with an idea to get Jack in trouble, “Jack looked up the answer in his laptop!” yelled Kris. The teacher was disappointed and sent Jack to detention. Jack tried to explain, but the teacher wouldn’t let him. Then the same things happened in all the periods. When it was lunch, Kris and Charles threw down Jack’s food and gave him a wedgie. Jack got mad but didn’t do anything about it; after all, he was an indolent boy. A mysterious guy wearing a mask and a top hat saw the scene. His name was Mr. Strange, and people called him the mind-reader.

After school, Jack went home limping. He tripped a few times on the floor, which made his leg feel worse. He decided to go to a bus stop nearby. He saw a bus stop that would take him straight home, so he sat down and waited for the bus. After a while, the bus came and Jack went on it, but he didn’t know that Mr. Strange was on it. Jack’s leg felt a bit better sitting on the bus. He went to his house and took a rest. He started to do his homework and finished it at night since Jack was like a home bird and didn’t have friends to go out with. While Jack was finishing his homework, Kris and Charles were at a party. He filled a glass with water, and then he was gonna drink it when his mother called him. Mr. Strange was watching him from the window. After Jack went to his mother, Mr. Strange snuck into Jack’s house and put some magic salt in Jack’s water. This would make Jack feel stronger and braver. Jack came back into his room and drank the water because he felt parched. Mr. Strange had snuck before Jack came in and quickly ran back home. Jack went to his bed and fell asleep.

The next morning, Jack woke up feeling a bit more zappy. He jumped out of his bed and went straight to his restroom and started to brush and take shower and then got ready for school. He found it a bit strange that he was more active than before. He took his clothes and wore them. He felt a bit confident that he would be able to beat Kris and Charles because he felt stronger. His leg felt better and he could run faster than before. Instead of taking the bus, he decided to run to school. He ran so fast that he made it to the second bus stop before the bus could reach it. He continued running and didn’t feel tired. He then made it to school just in time before class started. He took all his books for his first period. He saw Kris and Charles talking and making fun of Jack while he entered the class. Jack could hear almost everything Kris and Charles were talking about. Jack sat down in his chair and Kris and Charles leaned back to his table and said that they would beat him up at lunch and after school. When it was lunch, Jack took his food and sat next to Kris and Charles. Kris and Charles felt confused, so they started to say mean things to him. Kris threw Jack’s food on the floor and then so did Jack. Kris felt angry and tried to punch Jack, but then Jack held Kris’s hand. Charles tried to hit Jack, but then Jack saved himself by a hair's breadth. Then after lunch, Jack took his other books and went to his next class. Jack felt happy like never before. When school ended, Jack kept all his books back in his locker and went out of the school. He saw Kris and Charles, but then both of them started to run away. Jack felt happy that no one could beat him up. If Mr. Strange hadn’t helped him, Jack would have been indolent forever in his whole life.

Baker’s new recipe: By Aditya S

Chris felt angry and sad about his job because he wasn’t earning money.
Very few people came to his bakery. Chris used to have many people coming to his bakery, but later people didn’t like the cookies and stopped coming. Chris tried to come up with an idea that could make the cookies taste better and get more customers to his bakery. He took his recipe book and looked for recipes that could make the cookies taste better. He tried to use some of the recipes that were in the book, but for him, it didn’t taste better. Some of them were too bitter, too sour, and too sweet. He wanted one that could make the cookies taste perfect. Chris tried the last of the recipes that were in his book. He took the recipes and left them in the oven for a whole day. While the cookies were in the oven, Chris went to sleep and waited for 24 hours. He kept on thinking if this would make the cookies taste better. Would this get more people to come to his bakery? He kept worrying about the cookies, but soon after, he fell asleep. While Chris was sleeping, little sparkles were coming from the windows, but Chris couldn’t see them. Those sparkles from the lights were Fairies.

The Fairies wanted to help Chris make the cookies taste better, without Chris knowing it. The Fairies put a bit of sprinkle on the recipes and made changes to the recipe book. Then the Fairies went back to their land. When the Fairies left, it was morning for Chris. He went to check on the cookies. While he was walking to the cookies, on the table, he saw that the recipe book was different from yesterday. He then tasted the cookies and found them perfect, but he still wondered how the recipe book and the cookies were different. He thought that someone had sneaked into his bakery and swapped the books and the cookies, which didn’t happen. He looked at the recipe book very carefully to see if it was swapped, but when he checked the other recipes he tried, they were all the same. Chris didn’t think that he had bad eyesight, or he mis-saw it. He wondered and wondered how the recipe book and the cookies had changed.

After Chris tried the recipe book, he knew it would get many customers back. He had a Ballpark figure for signs, boards, and flyers all over his town. When people saw the boards and signs,  they went to Chris’s bakery. “If I don't like this Meringue, you have to give me back my money!” yelled an old grumpy man. “Sure,” replied Chris. The old grumpy man tried the cookies and felt joyful. He ate all the cookies in less than 2 minutes. “Wow, I like these cookies. You don’t need to give back my money. These cookies are better than an old rabbit’s carrot!” said the old grumpy man. “Thanks,” replied Chris. The old grumpy man told all his friends to come to visit his bakery shop. All the cookies tasted very good. A million and one people in town went to try the cookies in the bakery, and they all liked it. Chris became the affluent man in town, but he still kept wondering how the recipe book had changed and how the taste of the cookies had changed too. After the fairies saw Chris being befuddled about how the whole new thing happened, they felt bad for him because he kept sleeping late. So the fairies put some sprinkles onto Chris’s head to make him sleep. They went near him quietly and slowly put the sprinkles on him, but Chris turned his head around. The fairies quickly went hiding and back to Chris’s head and put the sleeping sprinkles on his head. Chris fell asleep and the fairies put some sprinkles that would make him forget about all of the things that were changed by the fairies. Chris woke up in a happy mood. He wasn’t feeling too well; he felt a little confused after the fairies put sprinkles on his head. But he forgot about it and went to open his Delicatessen. At Chris’s bakery shop, there was a whole crowd. Chris was happy to see them, so he gave all the new cookies to the people in the town.

Rabbit becomes a chef: summary by Aditya S

Every day, for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, Rabbit ate raw carrots. She was tired of eating raw carrots, but she couldn't just reject them grumpily because that was the only food she had.

She tried thinking of some ideas to make them taste better, but couldn’t think of anything. After eating raw carrots again for lunch, she went to the farmer’s house to see how he made the food taste better. She saw a pot of scorching water. She saw him cooking the food. Then she came up with the idea of cooking. Just as she came up with the idea, a ferocious dog started chasing her. The next day, she took a few raw carrots and put them on a tree. She left them out there to see if anything changed the taste of the raw carrots, but nothing happened. She tried putting them on fire, but it was too bitter. She kept on thinking and thinking until she had an idea. She got an old tortoiseshell and collected 3 stones and sticks. She placed the tortoiseshell over the sticks and started a fire with the help of the stone. She filled the shell with water and boiled the raw carrots in the tortoiseshell. The raw carrots had a new taste.

She was excited to bring her friends for dinner to enjoy the luscious carrots and admire her culinary skills.
